I am a first-time Mother. Navigating life’s ups and downs is a rollercoaster, but doing it with a little one is an eye-opening experience. My family fuels my approach to finances. I was born in New York, raised in Florida, and have immigrant parents from the Caribbean. My unique mixture of cultures makes up my philosophy about life and money.
From a young age, I was interested in money. How do you get it? Where does it go? Is it limitless? I was always curious about how adults afforded things. Many times, questions to my parents produced answers or created another roadblock. As I grew older and became independent, I realized that money rules everything around me. My access to income dictates the clothes I wear, the house I live in, and the car I drive. Then, in 2023, I gave birth to my first child and realized the most significant importance of all ---- how I spend my money as a mom.
These experiences have caused me to create Motherhood Expenses. Here, I am sharing my experiences as a Mom and explaining how money has impacted and shaped my decisions.
I work full-time, am a full-time mommy, and attend school part-time. My interest in Finance has me pursuing a whole new journey and learning new details about how we fuel our economy, businesses, and households. It’s fascinating.
Please take the time to come on this journey with me as I get personal and provide a peek into my Motherhood Expenses.
Looking forward to sharing with you,
